DESCRIPTION:The Power of Imagination: A creative writing workshop for adult
 s\n\nOverview\n\nLearn to unlock your imagination and harness the power of
  the written word.\n\nIn The Power of Imagination writing workshop\, you w
 ill be shown new ways to tap into your imagination. Through a series of fo
 cused exercises\, you will be taught how to forge a connection between you
 r mind and the blank page.\n\nWriting can be wonderfully therapeutic and t
 his workshop (now in its third year!) will lead you to find greater confid
 ence in yourself and in your writing abilities.\n\nNo writing experience i
 s necessary\; you simply need an inquisitive mind and a willingness to exp
 lore new concepts and experiment with words!\n\n--\n\nWhy is imagination i
 mportant?\n\nImagination enables us to experience different realities\; th
 rough it we can appreciate different perspectives\, travel to new places a
 nd visualise possible futures. Whether conceiving realist or abstract conc
 epts\, our imaginative scope is almost limitless.\n\nAccessing that potent
 ial isn’t always easy. For writers\, mental ‘blocks’ often stem from
  an inability to piece together images and concepts. Knowing how to captur
 e the essence of an image or idea and transform it into writing requires p
 ractise and knowledge of the right tools.\n\n--\n\nAbout your tutor\n\nFra
 ncesca Tyer is a Salisbury-based author and founder of the Untold Stories 
 Academy which offers creative writing workshops and editorial/mentoring su
 pport to writers of all ages and abilities. Her mission is to inspire read
 ers and writers through stories. Francesca has worked with adults at all s
 tages of their writing careers\, including beginner creative writers\, fir
 st time novelists and those with multiple publications to their name. The 
 Untold Stories Academy grew out of her experience as a freelance editor\,
